Our Why

Go therefore and make disciples...
Our Vision is to engage our community and have an impact for Christ through evangelistic outreach with a special emphasis on the Mills Addition neighborhood, and through intentional discipleship that spans all spiritual stages, resulting in a cycle of constant celebration.

A Church that Connects
We are committed to connecting, interacting, serving, and blessing those outside of our church. This includes believers and non-believers; neighbors and community members.

A Church that Disciples
We actively promote our small groups (called Branch Groups) as our main vehicle for discipleship. We also offer in-depth classes on Sunday mornings, weekly men's and women's Bible studies, and online discipleship resources.

A Church that Celebrates
We cultivate thankfulness and joy by praising God for the great things he has done. As we look forward to celebrating our 50th year as a church (in 2025) we are also celebrating victories both small and large along the way.

Core Values

WE VALUE God above all else.
Everything we do will be aimed at declaring God’s supreme value in spirit and in truth, and cultivating a growing relationship with him.
(Jeremiah 9:23-24; 1 Chronicles 16:29, Matthew 22:36-37; Philippians 3:10-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:1)

WE VALUE the person, work, and teachings of Jesus Christ.
We will model our lives after the example of Jesus, model our ministries to reflect Christ’s love for the world, and strive to obey his commands in all we think, say, and do.
(John 13:15; 1 John 2:4-6, 5:1-2, 1 Peter 2:21)

WE VALUE the salvation of all people.
We will equip and encourage each other to share Jesus in all our relationships and to pray for those who don’t follow Christ.  We will also invest in missions locally and globally.
(Matthew 28:16-20; Luke 19:10; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; 2 Peter 3:9)

WE VALUE healthy, loving relationships.
We will provide multiple opportunities for fellowship and community with an emphasis on small groups and personal discipleship.
(Matthew 22:39; John 13:24; Romans 12:10-13; Ephesians 4:11-16; Philippians 2:1-5)

WE VALUE in-depth, biblical knowledge.
We will seek to teach and preach with the Bible as our authority, and to equip believers to study the Scriptures for themselves.
Peter 1:3; Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 5:11-14; James 1:23-25)

WE VALUE grace orientation
We will be a forgiving church, a safe environment for the wounded, having compassion for all. We will seek full restoration into the body of Christ for those who have strayed and repented.
(John 1:14-18; Romans 8:31-39; 1 Peter 5:10; 2 Peter 3:18; Ephesians 4:16; 1 Peter 4:10-11)

WE VALUE Kingdom work at every level.
We will strive to serve and to bless people of all ages, spiritual stages, and conditions of life. We will promote multi-generational ministry and cross-denominational partnerships with an emphasis on clarity in essentials, freedom in non-essentials, and the unity of all believers.
              (Matthew 19:14; Hebrews 5:12-6:1; Titus 2:1-7)
